Discrete LEDs
VCRNOW’s Outdoor FTX LED Screens are made with Discrete LEDs. The technology was developed by analyzing years of operational diagnostic data from thousands of LED digital boards operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in several extreme environments. From this, our FTX product was created to be the most reliable, energy-efficient, and lowest maintenance outdoor LED screen available.
3 separate LEDs used to make 1 Pixel (1-Red, 1-Green, 1-Blue = 1 Pixel).
Best used for outdoor applications that need to run 24/7/365 or last for 10 years of use.
Typically 7,500-12,000 nits of brightness to compete with direct sunlight.
SMD LEDs
VCRNOW’s Outdoor FSO and Indoor FSI LED Screens are built on the same technology as the FTX product but utilize Surface Mount Device (SMD) LEDs instead of the Discrete LEDs used in the FTX product.
3 in 1 LED (1-Red, 1-Green, 1-Blue all in one surface mounted device).
Best used for indoor applications that do not need to run 24/7/365 or last for 5 years of use.
Indoor SMDs average between 1,000-2,000 nits of brightness. There is a growing number of outdoor SMDs with brightness averaging between 5,000-10,000 nits.
